1.I have had trouble with my academics and i went to extra credit in school and i learned more and got a little better.
ReplyDelete2.it took me about a week to get better because i needed more time to do my work.
3.cuny is a collage that isnt local and you need good atc scores.
4.the program is auccusful by the looks of it, it looks like students can focus better.
5.the teacher keeps the class small so all the students can understand better.
6.they have a job and it is hard to manage school and job especially if they have a family to go to.
7.non of them skip thr wirk or dont drop out becuase the sections are smaller and they can ficus better the srudents are actually liking the class.
1. Yes , we figured out multiple ways to turn it around to sound better and had a teacher come over and check to see if it was right .
ReplyDelete2. It takes a long time , any amount of time could be used to help you , it took me a few minutes to figure out my mistakes .

4. It is successful , and the graduation rate is 14% .
5. She gives them problems to figure out themselves and they should make their own way of solving it
6. Math , English , Science and etc .
7. She asks them not to drop out because there are hazards and precautions you would take without school .
1. yes me nd my cousin was slacking but we still managed to turn it around by doing all the work and not talking in class.

3. cuny start program is a program where you are able to catch up in school work for the people that didnt score high enough on the cuny tests.
4.The strategy is working More than half the students who complete the program are ready for college in just one semester, something that’s almost impossible with regular remedial courses.
5. the classes are longer and the focus is on thinking not memorization.
6.these students are juggling school, jobs and family obligations and one student breatfed while studying.
7. When she was a high school freshman, one student was informed by her high school counselor that she should drop out. she doesnt want the same thing to happen to her students.

1.Yes me or my friend has turned around in school for the better because we realized that if we want to be successful we need to be serious about school and do what we have to do.

4. The program is semi successful with a 35% chance getting credential within six years and a 16% chance of graduating .

1. Yes I struggled academically and I did turn it around. In class if I didn't understand something then I either asked of went to extra help after class or after school.
ReplyDelete2. It took like 3 months for me to really see that I was doing bad and I really needed to ask for help i for do need to.
3.CUNY start program is a remedial class for students who did not successfully graduate from high school. Mostly students who dropped out of high school.
4. Only 35% of students graduate from community college. At an urban community a six-year graduation is only 15%.
5. The remedial college differs from old school classes because now they are taught to investigate a problem , to really think about it. The teacher Erica teaches them to make a connection to real life.
6. They juggle with school, jobs and family. But some manage to really pull through and graduate from CUNY.
7. Her counselor in high school told her when she was a freshman "You're going to get pregnant by the time you're 16. Why waste everyone's time by staying in school?". But she became the director of CUNY to help other students to graduate who struggle academically.
1) I had trouble in Spanish so I asked my sister for help. Every day after school we would study for about 30 minutes and I ended up passing the class.
ReplyDelete2) It took me somewhere from 2 weeks to a month to understand what I was doing. Looking back, my sister was kind enough to take the time out help me instead of ignoring me, and I appreciate her efforts.
3) The CUNY Start program is a more effective remedial class. Majority of the students enrolled in this program fell behind in elementary school and never had the chance to catch up.
4) This program is highly successful. About 64% of these students earn a degree within six years.
5) This class is different because full-time students meet 25 hours weekly for one semester. It focuses on thinking and problem solving instead of memorization.
6) Students juggle school, family and jobs every day on top of these classes.
7) She means that their future is hopeless and they won't achieve anything in life.

Delete1.Yes i have, and i went and stayed after school to get more credit after i started to get the feeling that i was doing good.
ReplyDelete2. It actually took me at least a week and a half because i needed extra time.
3.CUNY is a collage that you will need a good GPA and pass all your regents to be able to get into CUNY.
5.I feel like if the teachers keep the class small people will understand better and will learn way more in my opinion.

1. In six grade a had trouble with math a lot . I struggled so bad that they had to put me in a smaller class. When I was in that class I get better grades and I understood the math better .

1. I have academic trouble when I was younger, in eng grade I had a speech problem which made most of my teachers catch me as slow. I just proved them wrong by getting a high grade.

Yes I've struggled with academics, I would have to want the best for myself and do what I have to do.
